Robert C. Lewis, 73, of Newark, Delaware, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 14, 2025, at Christiana Hospital.
Born and raised in Delaware, Robert was a proud graduate of William Penn High School, Class of 1970. He went on to serve his country honorably as a veteran of the United States Navy and the Delaware National Guard, embodying a deep sense of duty and patriotism throughout his life.
Following his military service, Robert worked as a laboratory technician with the DuPont Company until his retirement. He was known for his quiet dedication, steady presence, and loyalty to his family and friends.
Robert is survived by his loving sisters, Susan Angeline, and her husband Drew, and Janet Thompson; and his many nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly for his kindness, gentle humor, and generous spirit.
Family and friends are invited to attend a brief funeral service for Robert on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 beginning promptly at 11AM at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd., Bear, DE 19701.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Robert’s name to a veteran organization of your choosing.
