Robert H. Davis

Robert H. Davis, Jr., 84, of Millsboro, Delaware peacefully passed away surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, July 3, 2025.  Born in Wilmington on August 8, 1940, he was the son of the late Robert H., Sr. and Angela (Carbone) Davis.

Bob was a graduate of Salesianum School and proudly served our country in the United States Army National Guard.  He was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local 542, and was employed as a heavy equipment operator for more than 35 years. 

Bob was raised in Wilmington’s Little Italy neighborhood and was a past member of St. Anthony of Padua Parish.  He resided in Florida for several years before returning to Delaware and making his permanent home in Millsboro.  Bob was an avid fisherman and hunter, and he will be fondly remembered for making people laugh.

Bob is survived by his wife of 65 years, Geraldine M. (Blakely) Davis; his children, Robert Davis (Terry Sanford, deceased) and Juanda Davis; his grandchildren, Ayden, Keon and Molly; his sister, Beverly LaSorte; and his beloved dog, Molly. Sadly, he was predeceased by his grandson, Ryan.

Family and friends are invited to visit at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes on Tuesday, July 15 from 10:00 – 11:45AM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00PM, immediately followed by interment at Conley’s Chapel Cemetery, 22150 Robinsonville Road, Lewes.
