Robert F. Cressman, Sr.

Robert Floyd Cressman Senior, age 94, a long-time resident of Wilmington, Delaware, died on Thursday, February 19th, 2026. Robert was born in Riegelsville, Pennsylvania in 1931.

Robert graduated from Easton High School in Pennsylvania in 1949. In 1951, he enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard and served honorably until his discharge in 1954. He then attended Spring Garden Institute to study Electronics and Electrical Technology and received an Associate of Science degree in 1957. 

Until his retirement in 1992, Robert worked for the DuPont Company as an Engineering Designer and then as a Design Supervisor. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, dining out at favorite local restaurants, and watching his grandchildren play their sports. 

Robert was married for nearly 61 years to Eva Cressman (nee Kulanko) until her death in 2017. He is also predeceased by two of his children, Robert F Cressman Jr, and Janice Logan. He is survived by two sons, John Cressman (Lori) of Port Saint Lucie, FL and Douglas Cressman (Laura) of West Grove, PA; ten grandchildren, Gary Logan, Matthew Logan, Jenna Heaney, Robert Cressman III, William Cressman, Abigail Cressman, Elizabeth Schneider, Zachary Cressman, Gabrielle Cressman and Natalie Cressman; and thirteen great-grandchildren. 

Family and Friends are invited to visit at Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd, Wilmington on Monday, March 2, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service and internment in All Saints Cemetery.
