Robert Allen Williams

Robert Williams made his final transition the morning of November 20, 2024, succumbing to complications from Alzheimer's.  Though he spent the majority of his life in Hockessin, Delaware, he found enjoyment in retirement on the Paradise Coast in Florida.  Everyone affectionately called him Bob, and in his later years Grandpa. He had a thriving community of friends in Florida, who are thankful for the good times they shared.

Bob lived his life the best he knew how. He loved to fish, and was an avid mall walker. He loved a sub and enjoyed sharing subs with his son, Dave. He would have been overjoyed to see his Philadelphia Eagles win the Superbowl.

Bob is survived by his sister, Dorothy Brill, his son David (Shelley), his two grandchildren, Jessica Long and Kelly Williams-Adon, and his two great grandchildren, Kane and Mattie Adon. He was preceded in death by his parents, David  and Gladys Williams and his wife, Gloria.

 While our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering. In Bob's final moments he smiled, sharing love and appreciation for his youngest granddaughter, Jessica, a nurse who participated heavily in his care in his final years.

In honor of his final wishes, Bob's remains will be buried on the family plot at Friends Cemetery in Hockessin, Delaware the weekend of February 21st, 2025.
