Richard J. Pierce

Richard J. Pierce passed away at his home on September 19, 2025.

He is survived by his wife, Helen L. Pierce of Wilmington, DE; and his daughters, Catherine L. Pierce, Nicole H. Pierce, and Rebecca A. Pierce, all of Wilmington, DE. He is also survived by his sisters, Patricia Boring (Wayne) of Tennessee and Elizabeth Martin (James) of Virginia.

He was predeceased by his parents, Richard E. and Catherine (Downes) Pierce; his sister, Karen Pierce; and his brother, David D. Pierce.

Richard spent many years working as a draftsman for both the State of Delaware and DuPont.

In accordance with his wishes, burial will take place privately at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Faithful Friends Animal Society, 165 Airport Rd., New Castle, DE 19720.
