Philip A. Burnham

Philip A. Burnham, age 89, of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026.

Born on June 10, 1936, in Richmond, VA, he was one of the beloved sons of the late Edwin and Grace Burnham. He was preceded in death by his five sisters and two brothers.

Philip shared 67 loving years of marriage with his devoted wife, Barbara (née Eksterowicz). Together they built a life centered on family, dedication, and enduring love. He was a proud and caring father to his two sons, Philip A. Burnham, Jr. (fiancée, Susan) and Jeffrey Burnham (wife, Rose), and grandfather to Isabella.

A skilled woodworker and carpenter, Philip took great pride in his craft. He owned and operated Exhibits East, a display-building company through which he brought creativity and precision to his work. Even after retirement, he continued to share his talents with the Wilmington Piano Company.

Services will be held privately for the family.
