Patrick M. Pingue, 67, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Christiana Hospital after a brief battle with small cell metastatic lung cancer. Pat was born in Wilmington on August 3, 1952 and lived in his childhood home.
Pat was a graduate of Thomas McKean High School and proudly served in the Delaware National Guard for 6 years. He was a highly talented keyboard player and was a founding member of the rock and roll band Chalice, which performed together for over 50 years. He learned to play the piano at the age of 5 and loved playing his Hammond B3. The highlight of his recent playing career was performing at The Queen Theater in Wilmington, and he also loved playing the church carnivals.
Pat was a talented electrician and was employed with Pro Works, Inc. at the time of his death.
He was predeceased by his parents, Salvatore and Theresa (White) Pingue; his brother, John T. Pingue; his grandparents, aunts and uncles.
Pat is survived by his loving wife, Annette (Browne) Pingue; his daughter, Jessica Pingue (Justin Ashback) and granddaughter, Taylor; his daughter, Lisa Pingue Weldin (Keith); his aunt, Snookie Kennedy; his niece, Wendy Webb (Jamie) and their son, Jonathan; his niece, Michele Cooper-Lynn; as well as many much loved cousins.
Family and friends are invited to visit at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 2503 Centerville Road, Wilmington on Wednesday, July 22 from 10:00-11:15AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30AM, immediately followed by interment in All Saints Cemetery.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Pat to the Delaware Humane Association, 701 A Street, Wilmington, DE 19801 (www.delawarehumane.org).
