Patricia Ann Price passed away peacefully on Monday, March 30, 2026. She is survived by her husband, Paul, of 57 years; three sons, Paul Jr. (Allison), Darrin (Sally), and Justin (Shannon); siblings, Mary (Wright), Lucy (Spence), William (Ogden), and Edward (Ogden); and 10 grandchildren. In passing, she is reunited with her parents and granddaughter, Andie Grace.
Patricia was born in Wilmington, DE on October 31, 1947 to parents William and Helen Ogden. As a child her family lived on 9th Avenue in Browntown and she attended St. Elizabeth’s School, graduating in the class of 1965. While at St. E’s, she was very active socially making friendships that would last a lifetime. She loved to dance, chat, and make mischief on occasion. Her first job was in the Wilmington Police Department where she served as administrative assistant to the Chief. She flourished in her role there and, again, made friends that would stay with her forever.
Patricia (Pat) met Paul Price at the Knights of Columbus Halloween dance in 1966 and the two quickly fell in love. They married in June 1968 and spent their first years travelling and spending time with friends and family. Pat stopped working in 1971 to raise her three sons. She became very active in the community at St. Catherine of Siena working bingo nights with other moms and volunteering at the school and school functions. Pat and Paul kept active socially; however, as there was always room for expansion in their circle of friends. They often threw parties that shook the house. They shared a love of socializing, music, and dancing and seized every opportunity to enjoy each other and friends.
In 1979, they opened “Video Cassette Rentals” in Wilmington where Pat worked part-time while the boys were in school. After that, she learned medical transcriptioning and worked as an assistant at several Doctors' offices in the Wilmington area.
Pat also loved to travel and vacation with her family. The family spent time in Ocean City, NJ every summer along with visits to the Possum Point Yacht Club in Millsboro, DE, Disney World, road trips, and cruises. Later as a couple, Pat and Paul enjoyed trips to Europe visiting Spain, France, and Italy where she attended Easter Sunday Mass delivered by the Pope in Vatican City. She was always surrounded by family and friends and making wonderful memories.
Pat adored her grandchildren (Justin Jr., Kieran, Payton, Ryann, Fallon, Lily, Samantha, Jordan, Chelo, and Dino) immensely and loved to spend time with them. She would never say no to babysitting whether it was for a few hours or a week at a time. They would play games, go on visits, and she would come out for activities, whenever possible. They called her Mom-Mom and would rush to the door when she arrived.
Though she didn’t love to be the center of attention, Pat was often the life of the party. Turning up the music and dancing late into the night. Sharing stories with friends, her smile glowed and her laughter filled the room. Pat loved intensely and with empathy beyond caring.
She loved you more. . .
