Patricia Irene (Van Horn) Jacobs

Patricia Irene Jacobs, age 74, passed away at home on Friday, January 8, 2021.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Patty was the daughter of the late Esther Winona (Voight) and John Richard Van Horn. In 1968, Patty married the love of her life, Richard S. Jacobs. As they began their family, she cherished being a homemaker and raising her six children. While balancing her responsibilities at home, Patty was also the bookkeeper for her husband's dental practice, Dr. Richard Jacobs, DDS.

Family was the center of Patty's world. She was an amazing Mom, who always wanted the best for her children and taught them to never back down. She was a loving Meemom to her grandchildren, whom she adored. Patty enjoyed having everyone together for the holidays. Some of her favorite times were on their many family trips to Disney World.

Through the years, Patty traveled extensively with her husband, Richard. They enjoyed cruising and traveling to Europe and especially Las Vegas. In her leisure time, Patty was an accomplished quilter. She also enjoyed building Legos and jigsaw puzzles. Patty was an animal lover, who doted on her two dogs and her cat.

Patty is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Dr. Richard S. Jacobs; her sons, Christopher Michael Jacobs and his wife, Ashley, and Samuel Scott Jacobs and his fiance, Sara Naspo; her daughters, J. Becky Jacobs and her husband, Matthew Kaufman, and Sara Jane Hefner and her husband, Lee; her grandchildren, Angela Pike, Adrian, Devon and Peyton Jacobs, Emily and Rachel Jacobs, Connor and Keaton Jacobs, and Olivia Jacobs; her great-grandchildren,Taylor, Heather and Mason; her brother, Frederick Van Horn; and her sisters, Cass Reid and Roselyn Hunter.

She was preceded in death by her son, William Wallace Pike; her daughter, Heather Lynn Jacobs; her brother, Jack Van Horn; and her sisters, Dorothy Brayman and Betty Jane Van Horn, as well as her parents.

Funeral services will be held privately.
