Patricia A. Alberta, age 87, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 19, 2026.
She was born in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Patrick and Catherine (Feeney) McGoldrick, grew up in Havertown and was a graduate of the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur, a Catholic, all-girls high school. In addition to raising her family, Pat enjoyed a 20-plus year career at Artisans’ Bank, retiring as a manager in the checking department.
Along with her late husband, Tony, she was very active at St. John the Beloved Parish. Pat was proud of her Irish heritage; and especially cherished her role as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Mark (Kathleen), Greg (Kat), Lynn Whitfield (Chris), and John; her grandchildren, Michael (Joelle), Katherine, Jack, and Ava; her great-grandson, Jace; and her daughter-in-law, Kim Alberta.
In addition to her parents, and beloved husband, Anthony, Pat was preceded in death by her sisters, Cici Peters, Catherine Burke, and Joan Pannacio.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Monday, March 2, 2026 at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10:00am. Interment will be held in All Saints Cemetery, with committal prayers being held in the chapel.
