Pasquale "Pat" A. Paoli, Sr.

Pasquale “Pat” Paoli Sr., age 83, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Wilmington on October 22, 1942, Pat was the son of the late Mariano and Frances (Cataldi) Paoli.

Pat spent more than 25 years working in Building Services and Facilities at DuPont, where his skill, dependability, and pride in a job well done earned him the respect of everyone he worked with. His craftsmanship extended well beyond the workplace—he had a lifelong passion for creating, fixing, and improving things with his hands.

Above all, Pat was a family man. He cherished his role as a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and found his greatest happiness in time spent with those he loved. Whether gathered around a meal, watching a game, or lending support and encouragement, Pat’s warmth, humor, and devotion left an indelible mark on everyone in his life.

Pat is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Michelle (Sinovich) Paoli; his children Frances Anne Burg (Kenny), Michelle Fenimore (Wayne), Pat Paoli (Heather), and Ashley Kapes (Carl); his eight cherished grandchildren: Bobby, Stephen, Matthew, Christopher, Bryce, Luca, Siena, and Brooklyn; and his great-grandchildren Adriana and Madison. He is also survived by his sister Anne Berry (Scott), his sister-in-law Gina Sinovich (Mike), and his mother-in-law Vera Sinovich. Pat was preceded in death by his parents Mariano and Frances Paoli, his daughter Paula Paoli, his brother Domenick Paoli (Peggie), and brother-in-law Scott Berry.  

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Pat’s nurses, doctors, and caregiving team for their compassion, kindness, and exceptional care.  

Family and friends are invited to visit at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 901 New Road, Elsmere on Friday, November 14 from 11:00AM - 12:45PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00PM, immediately followed by entombment at Cathedral Cemetery, 2400 Lancaster Avenue, Wilmington.
