Nicholas DiBiaso Obituary

Nicholas A. DiBiaso, age 78, of Wilmington, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022, with his family by his side following a brief illness.

Nick was born in Wilmington and was a graduate of Wilmington High School. He was extremely proud to have served as the 3rd generation owner and operator of the family floral business, DiBiaso’s Florist, now in its 4th generation of ownership with Nick’s daughter, Dawn.

Family was at the center of Nick’s world. He adored his parents, siblings, and the family that he had created with Alice, his beloved wife of 56 years. Nick enjoyed family dinners, holidays, and always dedicated Sundays to family time. He also enjoyed playing Bocce at the St. Anthony’s Club and socializing with friends at the Piedmont Lodge and American Legion Durney Post. Wildwood and Riverview Beach Park both in New Jersey held a special place in Nick’s heart. He had a love for classic cars and particularly cherished his 1974 corvette.

In addition to his wife, Alice, Nick is survived by his children, Linda Cathell (Scott), Dawn DiBiaso, Nick, Jr. (Alexandra), and Brian (Dana); his grandchildren, Kristie (Joey Greigg), Alecia, Karli, Angelina, Serafina, and Francesca; his siblings, Robert, Frank, and Lisa DiBiaso; and several nieces, nephews, members of his extended family, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Edith (Nepa) DiBiaso; and his siblings, Alfred, Jr. and Anna Marie DiBiaso.
