Molly Drozdowski, 83 years of age, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Monday, January 30th, 2023. Molly was born on August 8th, 1939 to the late Harrington and Frances (née Layfield) Messick.
She is predeceased by her loving husband, Steven Drozdowski. Being the youngest of five children, she is also predeceased by her siblings, Alice DuVall, William Messick, and Milford Messick.
She is survived by her devoted children and their spouses, Cheryl Tielleman (Franny), Fran Sawin (Bob), and Steven Drozdowski III (Doreen), along with grandchildren Michelle Anderson (Mark), Lauren Sawin (Dave), Melissa Sawin (Matt), and Steven Drozdowski IV. Making her a proud “mom-mom mom-mom,” she is survived by her great-grandchildren Alexis and Haley Anderson. She is also survived by her brother Harry Messick, sisters-in-law Betty Messick and Dolores Coy, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved immensely.
Molly was a doting mother, grandmother, and aunt. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family. At the center of any holiday party, Molly could be found partaking in a friendly card game, reminiscing, and laughing. She’d often speak of her time together with Steve, keeping his memory alive. She fondly recalled her time on a cruise to the Caribbean with her sister-in-law Loretta, her niece Susie, and her dear friend Irene Duffy. She also enjoyed bowling in her younger years in a league with her sister, Alice.
She first worked at Avenue Pharmacy before going on to work for Happy Harry’s and eventually Walgreens. She would speak fondly of the many wonderful people she met over her 30+ year career.
Her family will miss her beyond words but are thankful for a lifetime of happy memories.
