Milton H. Keene, Jr.

We are saddened to report the death of Milton H. Keene, Jr., age 82, of Pike Creek, DE after recent health problems.

Milton was a graduate of Newark High School and attended Wesley College and the University of Delaware.  Milt was in sales for most of his career where he was able to put his outgoing personality to good use and left a legacy of integrity and kindness.

His greatest and most successful role in life was being a dedicated husband and devoted father.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Suzanne, and his mother and father:  The Rev. Milton H. Keene and Dorothy Anderson Keene, formerly of Seaford, DE.   He is survived by his two adoring sons, Michael M. Keene (Vickiann) of Lancaster, PA and Ryan E. Keene of Pike Creek, DE.  He is also survived by a brother, Lynn A. Keene (Peggy) of Newark DE, and many nieces, and nephews.

Since Suzanne’s passing, Milt started writing on Facebook about his life experiences and life perceptions. We encourage everyone who has not seen them to read his stories.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 10:00AM - 11:00AM at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808. A funeral service will begin promptly at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.

May God hold Milton in his protective arms forever, reunited with Suzanne in eternity.
