Maxine C. “Max” Kelly, age 85, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025 at AccentCare Hospice in Wilmington Hospital. Daughter of the late Albert and Violet DiCamillo, Max was a lifelong resident of Wilmington, DE, graduating from Wilmington High School.
Dancing was her lifelong passion, appearing on American Bandstand, Grady and Hurst, and out of town dance venues. She would often receive weekly fan mail by the thousands.
Max is survived by her husband of 64 years, Edward, and his son, Craig Kelly, and his wife, Meadow. Forever cherished and remembered by her three grandchildren, Kyle Kelly, Victoria Murphy (Tim), and Nathan Kelly. She is also survived by her sister, Anita Pacelli, and her husband, Virgil.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, June 16, 2025 from 10AM-11AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Max’s name to the Delaware SPCA.
