Maureen (Riley) Reiter

Maureen Reiter, age 71, of Hockessin, DE, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 4, 2023.

She was born in Wilmington, daughter of the late Robert and Catherine (Hall) Riley; and was a 1970 graduate of Conrad High School. In addition to raising her two sons, she worked as a teacher at St. Matthew’s School and Ursuline Academy.

Reenie was a die-hard Philadelphia Phillies fan; and also enjoyed nature, whether bird-watching or gardening. She was a fiercely devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family deeply. She would selflessly place them first.  She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her sons, Rocky (Rose), and Riley (Ashley); her grandchildren, Alexandria, Nikolas, Olivia, Graydon, and Ian; her siblings, Kathy Cherico (Joe), KC Riley, and Shaun Riley; as well as many nieces, nephews, and members of her extended family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert.

Services for Reenie will be held privately with her family.
