On Tuesday February 11th, 2025, MaryLou (Cawley) Doron, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 72, at her home surrounded by family.
MaryLou was born on April 15th, 1952, in Lynn, Massachusetts to the late Leonard A. and Lucienne B. (Verville) Cawley. MaryLou was the devoted wife of Zbyslaw “Steve” Doron with whom she shared over 38 years of marriage. MaryLou was preceded in death by her sons, Zachary L. and Alexander J. Doron. She is survived by her children, Toni M. (Adam) Morrill, Christopher S. (Chrissy) Doron, Alyse E. (Eric) Schroeder, Jamie J. (Chris) Bucci and Gabrielle L. Doron. MaryLou cherished her role as a grandmother to Terric, Ryan, Caleb, Emma, Sean, Samantha, Zachary, Remy and the newest addition baby Theo. MaryLou is also survived by siblings, Leonard (Claire) Cawley and Susan Cawley Ronan.
MaryLou started her career working for the Essex County District Court in Massachusetts. Later in her career MaryLou accepted an opportunity located in Delaware with the former MBNA working in procurement, a job she cherished along with the lifelong friends she met working there. Prior to her retirement, she worked for Sears Hardware, fulfilling online orders and everything in between.
MaryLou loved to read, especially while sitting on her new deck enjoying the sun and watching the wildlife. MaryLou loved to shop and spend time with family. She enjoyed her trips to Lancaster with her girls where she would stock up on her favorite baked goods and shop at the Amish stores. MaryLou had recently picked up a new hobby, growing cacti, with which she had great success.
MaryLou was spirited with a big heart. Her sass was legendary, but her generosity matched it. MaryLou was a shining light in the lives of those who had the privilege to know her. MaryLou was one of a kind and will be greatly missed by all!
A celebration of life will be held privately for the family at a later date. The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to make a memorial donation in her honor to a charity of your choice.
