Mary E. Travis

Mary E. Travis, age 71, a lifelong resident of the Wilmington area, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2022.

Daughter of the late Thomas J. Travis and Vivian M. (Quinn) Travis, she was born in Wilmington on October 23, 1950. Mary graduated from St. Elizabeth Grade and High School.

Following her retirement from DuPont, Mary enjoyed positions with Wilkinson Builders and Grant and Eisenhofer.

Mary loved to read, garden and decorate, but her true joy was being “Aunt Mary”. Everyone should have an Aunt Mary.

She is survived by her devoted brother and sister-in-law, Thomas J. and Suzanne M. Travis (Tom and Suzy); her beloved nephews and niece, Thomas J. (Tommy) Travis, Patrick Q. Travis, Kelly and Rob Budakian; and her cherished great nieces and nephew: Anna Travis, Jack Travis, Alexis Budakian and Kathryn Budakian.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, June 20, 2022 from 10am-12pm at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12pm. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 809 S. Broom St., Wilmington, DE 19805 and/or Little Sisters of the Poor, 185 Salem Church Rd., Newark, DE 19713.
