Martha Kay Stewart, 76, of Wilmington, Delaware passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020. Born in Vinita, Oklahoma on July 7, 1943, Kay is the daughter of the late Clarence and Clyda Anderson.
Kay was a loving and meticulous homemaker who took great pride in the appearance and décor of her home. She loved decorating for the holidays and having a very large dinner where all her family could gather. Kay enjoyed vacationing at the Jersey Shore, was a fan of all types of music and dancing. She was an outspoken advocate regarding potential health risks of many medications. Kay also valued her many friends, and she possessed a great sense of humor which left everyone laughing. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother.
Her husband, Robert “Bob” Stewart, passed away on July 31, 2013.
Kay will be lovingly remembered by her children, Andrea Gold (Rick), Stephen Iorii, Mark Iorii; her beloved grandchildren, Richie Gold, Kyle Iorii, Grace Iorii, Madison Gold, Morgan Gold, Courtney Klepacki; her two great grandchildren; her sisters, Peggy Lucchesi and Jeannie Ritchie; many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Thursday, June 18 from 10:00-11:00AM. Funeral services will begin at 11:00AM, followed by a private interment for immediate family only.
COVID-19 Restrictions will be enforced, with face masks mandatory and attendance limited to 75 people.
