Marie F. (Tusio) Wilkinson

Marie F. (Tusio) Wilkinson went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 2, 2023.  A remarkably strong and independent woman, Marie loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren endlessly.  They were the most important accomplishments in her life.

Marie was born in 1936 in “Little Italy” in Wilmington, DE to the late Theresa M. Giordano and Anthony L. Tusio.  She was preceded in death by the love of her life and beloved husband, Edward Wilkinson Sr.; her children, Elizabeth, Edward Jr., and Daniel Wilkinson; her siblings, Matthew, Louis and Anthony Tusio; many other extended family members.

Marie is survived by her daughters, Terry Jordan (James) and Julie Myers (Ronald); her 6 grandchildren, Lin Amara, Kelly Price (Steve), Joe Wilkinson, Jamie Wilkinson, Ronnie Myers and Ben Myers (Kristen); her 3 great grandchildren, Charlotte Price, Bowie Amara and Hudson Price.

Marie was a devout Catholic. She loved spending time with her family, enjoyed monthly luncheons with her high school friends and in her younger years, she loved to play bingo, go stock car racing and enjoyed cooking big holiday meals.

She had a smile and kind word for everyone and never met a stranger.  She will be deeply missed by her family and those who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to visit at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 9th and DuPont Streets, Wilmington on Wednesday, November 8 from 9:00 - 10:15AM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM.  A private interment will follow for immediate family.
