Marie A. Kisco, age 99, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 7, 2022 with her loving family by her side.
Born in Trenton, NJ, Marie was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Perro) Ricketti. She married her loving husband, Bob in 1942, and settled in Wilmington, Delaware in 1960 to raise their family. She was a longtime parishioner of St. John the Beloved Parish.
Marie and Bob enjoyed traveling to some of their favorite places including Hawaii, Italy and Germany. They loved to spend time at their summer home in Wildwood Crest, NJ. She was also a charter member of the Crest Sentry Women's Club. Marie was a member of the Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church Women's Club where she loved sewing and embroidery and being with her friends.
Family was the center of Marie's world. She was a phenomenal Nanny to her two grandsons, Jimmy and Eric. She treasured spending time with them and watching them through the years. Marie embraced her family with unconditional love and never judged anyone.
Marie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Kisco who was buried on their 50th wedding anniversary; her parents and her sister, Mildred Cracker. She is survived by her children, Bob Kisco (Carmencita) and Arlene Basso; her grandsons, Jimmy Basso (Alicia) and Eric Basso (Kaylee); her sister, Lorraine Shive; and many nieces and nephews. She will also be dearly missed by Mario the beagle who brought her comfort in her final years.
