Margarita "Margie" D. Brown

Margarita D. Brown “Margie”, age 79, of Millsboro, DE, formerly of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

Margie attended Padua Academy graduating in 1962 going on to attend classes at the University of Delaware.

Margie worked many years for Armor’s Fine Gifts and Accessories specializing in fine paintings, brass and furniture. She went on to work in the accounting department at United Electric until she retired and relocated to the Delaware Beaches.

Margie had a passion for flower arranging, gardening and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great granddaughter.

Margie was predeceased by her grandson, Andrew; and her eldest sister, Joanne (Larry).
She is survived by her husband of 57-1/2 years, Ronald S. Brown; her three daughters, Debby (Bill), Kathleen, Amy Niday (David); her grandchildren, Lynn (Bob), Alex, Nikolas, Sydney, Ryan Q., Kory, Ryan, Logan; her great-granddaughter, Mackenzie; her siblings, Marie (Michael), Jean (Joe), John (Karen). She also is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins she loved dearly.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, May 19th, 2023 from 2-4PM at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808. A memorial service will begin at 4PM.
