Margaret Mary “Maggie” (Thielemann) Briley, 69, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family. Born on November 7, 1956, Maggie was the daughter of the late Matthew and Anna Thielemann.
Maggie dedicated 41 years of her life to Acme Markets, where she worked in customer service from 1977 until her retirement in 2018. She was known for her warm smile, kind heart and genuine care she showed to everyone she met. Maggie’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted mother, a loving grandmother, dear sister and loyal friend. Her happiest moments were spent surrounded by her children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters and family members.
Maggie had a special love for Christmas and carried its joy and spirit with her throughout the entire year. She never tired of watching Christmas movies, no matter the season, and found comfort and happiness in her favorite shows, including NCIS and the Hallmark Channel.
Maggie is survived by her loving children: Thomas Legg (Kelly) and their children, Mckenzie and Logan; Stephen Briley Jr. (Sarah) and their children, Levi, Stephen III, Mason and Aria; Christine (Jared) Eisenhart and their children, Jared Jr., Anna, Jacob and Joel. She is also survived by her siblings: William Thielemann, Helen Oldham (Joe), Ann Marie Watterson, Alberta Marchese (Vince), Matthew Thielemann Jr. (Kim), Georgianna Kossek (Tom) along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
In addition to her parents, Maggie was preceded in death by her sisters, Rosemary Thielemann and Marianne Garrison; her brother-in-law, Tom Watterson; and her sister-in-law, Joan Ann Thielemann.
Maggie will be remembered for her loving heart, her unwavering devotion to her family, and the warmth and comfort she brought to everyone around her. Her love will continue to live on in the countless memories shared by those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Wednesday, May 27 from 10:00 – 11:00AM. A Catholic funeral service will begin at 11:00AM, immediately followed by interment at All Saints Cemetery.
