M. Regina Igo Obituary

Mary Regina (Quinn) Igo, 77, of Claymont, Delaware peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of her family on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.  Born in Wilmington on September 12, 1948, she was one of 15 children of the late John and Catherine (Riley) Quinn.

Jeanie was a graduate of Ursuline Academy and was employed as a teller with Bank of Delaware for several years.  She also owned and operated a successful residential/commercial  cleaning business for 20 years. 

A faithful and devout Catholic, Jeanie was an active member of Christ Our King Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, generously volunteered with the parish food pantry, and helped organize fundraisers and social events.    Following the closure of Christ Our King Parish, Jeanie became a member of Holy Rosary Parish where she continued her volunteer service.  

Jeanie was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, as well as her children’s number one fan at their sporting events.  She also savored her morning coffee from Wawa.

Her husband, Patrick J. Igo, Sr., passed away on December 24, 2011.  

Jeanie is survived by her children, Patrick J. “PJ” Igo, Jr., Elizabeth C. LeRose and husband, Garrett, Molly A. Igo and wife, Maureen Pimble; her grandsons, Hudson and Holden LeRose.  

In addition, Jeanie leaves seven siblings: Michael V. Quinn (Patti), Kevin P. Quinn, Dennis M. Quinn (Colleen), Philip B. Quinn (Suzie), Sean G. Quinn (Doris), Anne R. Quinn-Vanneman (Brad) and Mary Ellen Brown (Tom, deceased).  She was predeceased by seven siblings: Anastasia F. Sillet (Frank, deceased), Catherine Hazzard (Tom, surviving), Susan Dawson (Jamie, surviving), Sr. Roseann Quinn SSJ, James Quinn (Cindy, surviving), John Timothy Quinn (Mary, deceased) and Leonard Quinn (Mary Ann, surviving).

Jeanie loved and was loved by her Igo family members: Bernadette Igo (John Lockman), Teresa Myers (John), Elizabeth Igo, Kelly Nolan (Michael), Eileen Farmer, Monica Lentelle (Paul), Kathleen Rinarelli (Joseph, deceased), Annie Rizzo (Wayne), Maryellen Widdoes (Byard, deceased), James Igo (Genevieve) and Michael Igo (Rose).  She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Gerard “Poochie” Igo (Beverly, surviving); her sister-in-law, Margie Firth (Richard, surviving); her father-in-law, James J. Igo and her beloved mother-in-law, Marguerite (Daney) Igo.

Lastly, Jeanie leaves a multitude of nieces and nephews of the Quinn and Igo families.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Holy Rosary Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont on Tuesday, June 2 from 10:00 – 11:45AM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00PM, immediately followed by interment at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear.
