Larry Golt Obituary

Francis Larry Golt, age 83 of Middletown, DE, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.

He was born in Easton, MD, son of the late Francis and Thelma (Callahan) Golt; was a graduate of Goldey-Beacom College; served in the US Army Reserves; and enjoyed a 31-year career as a parts manager with Chrysler.

Larry loved spending time with his family, especially at the beach. One of his favorite pastimes was picking crabs. He was very involved with his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events and activities over the years and cherished nothing more than having his grandchildren over to enjoy their backyard and garden. He will be dearly missed.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Pat (Wegert) Golt; his children, Steve (Judi) and Karen Young (Paul); his grandchildren, Taylor Cook (Kelly), Emily Young, Amanda Golt, and Aaron Young (Sarah); his sister, Nancy Holleny (Rich); several members of his extended family; and many dear and longtime friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Monday, February 24, 2025 at St. Margaret of Scotland Church, 2431 Frazer Road, Newark, DE 19702, where family and friends may visit beginning at 9:30am. Interment will be held privately.
