Kevin James Minor

Kevin James Minor, 53, of Pike Creek, Delaware, passed away on January 13, 2026, at his family home.

Kevin was born on August 30, 1972, in Dallas, Texas, to James and Patricia Minor and grew up in Pike Creek, where he spent many of his happiest years. As a young man, he was active in sports, playing soccer with the Pelés and United of the Kirkwood Soccer Club, as well as for Christiana High School. He was also a member of the school’s wrestling team.

Kevin had a deep love for music. He was a longtime fan of the Grateful Dead, the Jerry Garcia Band, and found particular joy in reggae music.

He is survived by his parents, James and Patricia Minor; his former wife, Michelle Minor, and their children, Nathan and Paige; his brother, Alex Minor; and his sister, Leslie Rickey.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 24th, 2026 at St. James Episcopal Church, 2016 St. James Church Road, Wilmington, DE 19808.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Kevin’s name to St. James Episcopal Church.
