Kevin Ryan Barrett, age 73, of Hockessin, Delaware, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Kevin was a proud graduate of John Carroll University, Class of 1974, where he began a lifelong journey marked by dedication to family, community, and service.
Kevin was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Laura Barrett, and his cherished son, Kevin Paul Barrett—losses that he bore with grace and a deep trust in the promise of reunion.
A man of integrity and gentle spirit, Kevin found joy in the simple things—his faith, his family, and the friendships that endured across the years. He will be remembered for his kind heart, his steady presence, and the quiet way he made life better for those around him.
A Funeral Mass celebrating Kevin’s life will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Angels Parish, 82 Possum Park Rd., Newark, DE.
