Kelsie Elizabeth Miller passed away on April 3, 2021. Kelsie was many things in this world. She was a musician, playing the trumpet from a young age through her time at the Cab Calloway School of the Arts. She was a writer, passionately sharing her thoughts and feelings on topics from the energizing to the mundane. Kelsie was a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin and friend, enjoying every family tradition and the little moments we spent together. Most importantly, Kelsie was a mother. Kelsie was an extraordinary mother to her daughter, Charlotte Joanna, who celebrates her first birthday on April 24, 2021.
Kelsie struggled with addiction for much of her adult life. However, Kelsie was not defined by her addiction. Through all the years she struggled, the loving, caring person would still come through the darkness. Kelsie could not think of any better way to spend her time then going to church on a Sunday with her Babci. And through the past year, we have never seen Kelsie happier than she was with Charlotte. Kelsie was a devoted mother, her eyes shined brightest when with Charlotte.
Kelsie is survived by her daughter Charlotte Joanne; her parents, Sean A. Miller and Lissa Jo Miller; her brother, Sean A. Miller, Jr.; her grandparents; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Family and friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 12 at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 901 E. Newport Pike, Wilmington, DE 19804, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon. Interment will be private.
