Kathleen H. (Sklodowski) Matuszewski

Kathleen H. (Sklodowski) Matuszewski of Newark, Delaware passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at age 74.

Kathy was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware.  She attended St. Hedwig Elementary School and St. Hedwig High School.  Following her graduation from high school, she was employed at Arthur’s Apparel Shop in Wilmington.  In 1970, she married Eugene P. Matuszewski.

Kathy was predeceased by her husband, Gene; her parents, Thomas A. and Helen B. (Zajaczkowski) Sklodowski; her brother, Thomas A. Sklodowski.

Kathy is survived by her nephews, Craig Sklodowski of Florence, NJ and Sean Sklodowski of West Hampton, NJ; her sister-in-law, Sophie Sklodowski of Florence, NJ; her brother-in-law, Robert Matuszewski of Glen Mills, PA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Hedwig Church, Linden and S. Harrison Streets, Wilmington on Friday, May 12 at 10:30AM, immediately followed by entombment in Cathedral Cemetery.
