Justin William Johnson, 38, of Newark, Delaware passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. He is survived by his mother, Louisa Haffen Johnson; his father, Richard Johnson; his sister, Kelly Johnson; his brother, Jeremy Johnson.
Justin was a graduate of Wilmington Charter School, class of 2003, and went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Delaware. Justin will best be remembered for his computer, mechanical and engineering skills and projects on his home. Justin received a government award from the State of North Carolina for developing a Telehealth program, saving taxpayers money annually.
Justin enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends. He moved to Raleigh, North Carolina soon after graduating from the University to be near his best friend. He enjoyed beach trips with friends and family, boating, ATV-ing, and spending time outdoors hiking and salsa dancing. Justin showed a deep kindness to friends. He will be fondly remembered by those whose lives he touched.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Friday, April 18 from 10:30AM – 12:00PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Justin will be held in the future, with details forthcoming.
