Judith Reich Obituary

Judy was born August 4, 1942 in Marietta, Ohio.  She graduated from Palmyra High School (Palmyra NJ) in 1960 and from University of Delaware in 1977 with a Bachelor's degree in Primary/Early Childhood Education.  Her first husband Reggie McAdam is deceased.  Judy taught kindergarten, first and second grades for 20 years in the Avon Grove School District (PA) and served as secretary of the Newark Baptist Church for 15 years before retiring in 1997 when she moved to Long Neck Delaware where she met and married Ralph J. Reich.  In 2015 she returned to the Delaware beach, residing in Ocean View, following Ralphs' death home.  She had many happy memories of times spent at the beach and decided to give her beach home to her daughter Debby and her family to enjoy as much as she did.  Judy was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in late 2021.  Her brother, Doug, shared her home starting in 2016 and stuck with her, as a friend and a caregiver

Judy is predeceased by Reginald McAdam, Ralph Reich, parents William and Woodie Witham and a son, Bill McAdam and a grandson Michael Miller. She leaves a daughter Debra Jean Miller and son-in-law David Miller; who was a son to her, granddaughter Olivia, 4 grandsons: Shawn and spouse Ashley, Justin and spouse Kelsey, Nick and spouse Nikki, and Joshua and spouse Haley.  Seven great grandchildren:  Neva, Cameron, Archer, Charlie, Violet, Ellie and Brooks.  Two brothers:  Larry Witham, his spouse Lois of Charlotte NC and Douglas Witham, who resided with her and was a wonderful companion and caregiver and six nieces and nephews and several very close friends, including Karen MCauley, Pam Dougherty, Jennifer Read and Nancy Murphy.

Judy always enjoyed fishing, walking the beach with Ralph, traveling, feeding her birds and squirrels, her computer (especially making personalized greeting cards) and her family.  She was an active member of Ocean View Presbyterian Church where she kept busy making cards for the deacons and enjoying Bible Study and Christian fellowship she found in this small welcoming congregation.  She is now reunited with her mom and son, Bill, Ralph and Reggie and all who went before her and are welcoming her with open arms into the presence of her Savior and God.  Rejoice in the knowledge that she will be watching over all those she loves so much.

To those grandchildren who aren't yet sure of God's love and grace.......KEEP AN OPEN MIND.  God will be waiting for you.  Grammy prayed for you every night.  She believes with all her heart that God answers prayers in HIS time and he will answer her prayers for you. Debby - Smile - don't cry - when you think of me.  You are the best daughter anyone could ever hope for.  Love you with all my heart.  I will be waiting for you.

In lieu of flowers - please consider donating to the Paris Foundation.  Checks can be mailed to PO box 812 Elkton, MD 21921- website www.theparisfoundation.org - Judy loved volunteering for the food insecure people of Elkton Maryland.

Special thank you to all the wonderful caregivers and new friends she made at Abbey Manor.

Please feel free to wear purple for pancreatic cancer, or a hat.  Judy loved her hats.  This is a celebration of her life.  Let's honor the beautiful woman she was.
