Judith M. Marvel

Judith M. Marvel passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 17th, 2021. Judy was born on February 10th, 1945 in Hackensack, New Jersey. She is survived by her two brothers, William Westdyk, and his wife Anne; Joseph Westdyk and his wife Helen; her three children, son Michael LaFleur; daughters Michele Marshall, and her husband Joe; Melissa Smyth, and her husband Rick, as well as her 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Judy graduated from Toms River High School in 1962. While in high school she was a cheerleader and was involved in many school activities including choir and drama club. Judy worked in real estate as an agent for Patterson Schwartz, Prudential and Berkshire Hathaway. She also spent over 30 years in the insurance industry both for JA Montgomery and Zutz Insurance where she retired in 2012. 

Judy loved life and loved people. She enjoyed spending vacations at the beach with her family. She loved to travel and vacationed in Cancun, Cabo San Lucas, Paris, Belgium, Hawaii, Bermuda, Canada and enjoyed numerous cruises throughout the Caribbean and South America.

She was involved in many community activities with various charitable organizations. She had many friends and cherished her relationships as well as adored her loving family.

In lieu of flowers, Judy’s family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society- DE, PO Box 669, New Castle, DE 19720.

Services for Judy will be private.
