Joyce Ann (Geiger) Cover

Joyce Ann (nee Geiger) Cover, age 91, of Newark, DE, passed away on April 16th, 2025 with her family by her side.

Along with both of her parents, Joyce was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd William “Bill” Cover, Jr. and by her son, Kevin. She is survived by her children, Lloyd William “Bill” Cover III, Jean Cook, Karen Baker, Fred Cover and Shirell Wilson and Dale Cover. Her family includes eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Of the many accomplishments during her lifetime, Joyce was most proud of the years she spent as a foster parent, during which time she cared for twelve infants and toddlers, adopting three children at the ministry’s conclusion.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service in honor of Joyce on Friday, April 25th, 2025 at 2PM at Grace Lutheran Church, 2033 Graves Rd., Hockessin, DE 19707.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Joyce’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
