John S. Raniszewski

John S. Raniszewski, age 87, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, March 19, 2021 with his family by his side.

John was born in Wilmington and attended St. Stanislaus Kotska, Friends High School and the University of Delaware. He was a lab technician at DuPont Chestnut Run for over 30 years. John was also a faithful member of St. John the Beloved parish. One of the great joys of John’s life was caring for his children and spending time with his grandchildren.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Antoinette “Toni” Raniszewski; his four children, Tom Raniszewski (Shari), Debbie Colligan (Bob), Tricia Lindemann (Eric), and Marie Mullen (Bob); his ten grandchildren, Sean, Nicole, Taylor, Shannon, Jamie, Sam, Casey, Tyler, Will and Ben; his sister-in-law, Albina Raniszewski; and many nieces and nephews.

He was loved by all and will be sorely missed!

A memorial mass for John will be held on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 11am at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church, 907 Milltown Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808. Interment will immediately follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Hwy, New Castle, DE 19702.

In lieu of flowers, the Raniszewski family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to St. John the Beloved, 907 Milltown Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808.
