John-Michael Sniadowski Obituary

Born November 1, 1991, John-Michael Sniadowski, named after his two grandfathers but known to most by his childhood nickname, Iggy, passed away at home on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.

John-Michael attended Holy Angels Grade School and St. Mark’s High School.  He was a true jack of all trades, especially pipefitting, auto mechanics and welding.  He was employed with M. Davis, Inc.

The emptiness left by Iggy’s passing will be as pervasive as his presence in life was prominent.  He was the loudest voice in the room, the most colorfully dressed, and the ringleader of whatever fun there was to be had.  He had a young heart and adventurous spirit behind a mischievous smile that had you hooked as soon as you met him.  He loved spending summers in North Wildwood with his family, playing hockey, four wheeling, snowmobiling, and surfing.  His love for his family and friends was immense, especially for his son, Lucas.

John-Michael is survived by his beloved son, Lucas; his parents, Chuck and Sharon (Kohute) Sniadowski of Newark; his sister, Heather Flanagan and husband, Tommy; his nephew, Gabriel Flanagan; his girlfriend, Taylor; many loving aunts, uncles and cousins of the Sniadowski and Kohute families, along with too many friends to name.

John-Michael was predeceased by his brother, Chuckie, earlier this year; his grandparents, John and Betty Sniadowski, Michael and Josephine Kohute; his uncles, John and Bobby Sniadowski.

Family and friends are invited to visit at St. Matthew’s Church, 901 E. Newport Pike, Wilmington on Wednesday, April 16 from 11:00AM – 1:15PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30PM.  Interment will be held privately.
