Joan Dolores (Stark) Minner

Joan D. Minner, age 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 21, 2022.

She was born in Wilmington, DE, daughter of the late John and Margaret (Hood) Stark and was a graduate of St. Elizabeth High School. From 1976-2018, she lived in Houston, TX, where she was a parishioner of St. John Vianney Church and was involved in their women’s group. She also volunteered at Memorial City Hospital. Some of her favorite pastimes were cooking, baking, spending time with family and needlework. She also loved to travel.

Joan is survived by her children, Patrick Tobin III; Charlene Simpson (Dean), Robin Lloyd, Kelly Humphrey (Bill); her stepson, Chris Minner (Ann); her sister, June Weldin, stepsister, Marie Masiello; her grandchildren, Lindsey Baronie (Nick), Karisa White, Jonathan Tobin (Jen), Lisa Tobin, Paul Tobin, Bethanie Humphrey, Joshua Humphrey (Sharon), Emily Minner, Alex Minner;  her great-grandchildren, Riley DeGroat and Liam Humphrey; as well as members of her extended family. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard F. Minner, Jr.; her brother-in-law, Bob Weldin; brother and sister-in-law, Skip and Judy Norris; her uncle, Bob Hood; and nephew, Bobby Weldin, Jr.

Services for Joan will be held privately with her family.
