Jean E. (Elliott) Gray

Jean E. Gray, 90, of Hockessin, Delaware passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022.  Born in Newark on January 12, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Edith (Jaquette) Elliott.

Jean was employed as a shipping representative with Sears, having retired after more than 20 years of dedicated service.  During their retirement years, she and her husband enjoyed traveling.  Jean was a faithful member of Evangelical Presbyterian Church and participated in many activities throughout the years.

Jean is survived by her husband of 69 years, Lowell H. Gray; her son, Douglas Gray and wife, Jodi; her daughter, Vickie Asher; her grandchildren, Justin Asher, Tyler Brown (Jessica), Saraya Loretta (Sam), and Tristan Brown; her great grandson, Jacob Brown.

Jean was predeceased by her brothers, James, Bertram and Clarence Elliott; her sisters, Helen Stradley and Marion Farquar.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation at Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 308 Possum Park Road, Newark on Friday, October 7 from 12:00 – 1:00PM.  Funeral services will begin at 1:00PM, immediately followed by interment in Ebenezer Church Cemetery, 525 Polly Drummond Hill Road, Newark.
