Jane Wagner Rohl

Jane got her wish.  She passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 16, 2021 in her home, in her bed at age 90.

Born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania to Leon and Edith (Harlan) Wagner, the family moved to Newark, Delaware, where they owned and operated the College Inn.  She graduated from Newark High School in 1948 and attended the University of Delaware.  Her career began at the Chrysler Tank Plant, and she later became an executive secretary at Hercules Powder Company, where she met her husband, Adolph “Bucky” Rohl.  Together, they raised three children and were happily married for 57 years.

Summers at the beach house with family, golf and socializing at the country club made for a good life.  She had a talent for the arts and a flair for style.  Being a seamstress, artist and jewelry designer complimented her cooking skills, and a bit of Irish blood provided a touch of feistiness.  Above all, she was a lover of animals.

Jane is survived by her husband, Adolph “Bucky”; her children, Erick, Stephen (Susan) and Wendy; her beloved grandchildren, Ava Haley and Lily Rohl.

Funeral services and interment at Union Hill Cemetery will be held privately for immediate family.
