James "Jim" J. Merritt

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James “Jim” Merritt on July 12, 2020; he was 53 years old.

A native of Warwick, Maryland, Jim also lived in Columbus, Ohio, Naperville, Illinois and Wilmington, Delaware. Jim’s quick sense of humor and genuine kindness was easily felt by many everywhere he lived. He formed lasting relationships that will live on in memory.

Jim graduated from University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 1992 with his Juris Doctor. He worked at Nationwide Insurance for almost 15 years before retiring to run his own property management business.

He is survived by his dedicated life partner, Danielle Minner, loving dog Kono James; pre-deceased by his dogs Niko James and Scout James; as well as many loving friends and family.

Friends and family will be invited to a private viewing and service.
