James H. Weldin, age 89, passed away in the presence of his loving daughter and granddaughter on Thursday, April 29, 2021. He was born in Elkton, Maryland to Charles Thomas and Cornelia Weldin (Sloan). He graduated from Elkton High School and worked for General Motors, retiring with 34 years of service.
Jim was a beloved father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed woodworking, the warm weather and cherished the time he lived in Hilton Head. His greatest passion was spending time with his family and friends. He could always be found sitting outside speaking with or attending monthly lunches/dinners with his neighborhood friends.
Jim will be dearly missed by his children: James D. Weldin (Sara) and Jeanne Marie Campbell (Paul); his grandchildren: Kerri Campbell, Julie Nickle (Bryan), Joshua and Garrett Weldin; and his great grandchildren: Bryan, Bradley and Allie.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Hildegarde M. Weldin and his daughter, Alice Anne Weldin.
Funeral services will be private and interment will be at All Saints Cemetery.
