Jacob Thomas Snyder

Jacob Thomas Snyder, age 33 of Smyrna, Delaware and formerly of Wilmington died suddenly on Sunday May 8, 2022.

Born on July 10, 1988 in Philadelphia, PA to Robert W. Snyder and Ann L. Riblett, Jake was a lifelong Delawarean who was raised in Wilmington until moving to Smyrna at age 23.  Jake attended and graduated from Delcastle Technical High School in the class of 2006, where he excelled in the aviation technology program.   After graduating from High School, Jake was employed as an Aircraft Technician for 15 years with Dassault Falcon Jet Corporation. 

Jake was known for his good will towards everyone and could be described as a true “adventurer” who enjoyed fixing things, riding his motorcycle, playing music, traveling to Colorado to visit and climb the mountains with his Father, doing home renovation projects, working out or spending time with his beloved family.  Jake will be especially missed by his loving niece and nephew Angelina and Charles whom he adored. 

Jake is preceded in death by his grandparents Errol and Catherine Snyder and David and Elizabeth Riblett (nee Franzone) along with his cousin Nicholas Rohm. 

Jake is survived by his parents Robert Snyder (Pamela) of Manitou Springs, Colorado; mother Ann Lucia Riblett of Clayton, Delaware; sister Kristen Snyder-Gallagher (John) of Missouri; aunt and uncle David and Jayne Riblett; niece Angelina and nephew Charles; dear cousins Seth Riblett (Stephanie); Sarah Hill (Lance). Additionally Jake leaves behind his girlfriend Mary Snyder along with a host of many cousins and dear friends. 

A visitation will be held on Saturday May 21, 2022 from 1:00pm-2:30pm at the Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church located at 500 McKennans Church Road, Wilmington DE 19808.  Funeral Services will begin promptly at 2:30pm with interment following in the adjoining Church cemetery.
