Irma Calderone Obituary

Irma Jane Calderone, age 82, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 30, 2023.

She was born in Wilmington, daughter of the late Ignatius and Irma (Masten) Harkins. Irma dedicated her life to raising her family and she will be lovingly remembered as always putting others’ needs before her own.

She enjoyed baking, especially her famous banana bread; shopping; gift-giving; and spending time with her family and friends.

Irma is survived by her son, John Calderone (Carol); her granddaughter, Jessica Wolfe (Ryan); her great-grandchildren, Charlee and Colby; her nieces, Lois Harkins and Patty Mast; and her nephew and Godson, Robert Harkins.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hugo; and her dear grandson, Jason.

Irma’s family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Regency Health Care for their care and compassion.

Services for Irma will be held privately with her family.
