Helena B. (Kowal) Vible, 99, of Wilmington, Delaware passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Born in Wilmington on June 19, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Antoni and Sophie (Poczatek) Kowal.
A loving and devoted homemaker, Helena was a faithful member of St. John the Beloved Parish.
Her husband of 59 years, Stanley C. Vible, passed away on January 14, 2008.
Helena will be dearly missed by her children, Glenn (Hilda), Robert (Rhonda), Maureen Woodin (Steve), William (Lisa), Donna Vible-Kirczow (Thomas), Jeffrey (Tammy), Lisa, and Douglas; her 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Helena was predeceased by her sisters, Ann Bielicki and Mary Vible; her brothers, Benny and Walter Kowal.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington, Delaware 19808 on Wednesday, October 1 from 10:30 – 11:15AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30AM, immediately followed by interment at All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Helena may be made to St. John the Beloved Church (address above) or the Sisters of the Poor, 185 Salem Church Road, Newark, Delaware 19713.
