Helen Hoffken

Helen Hoffken, age 91, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on February 1st, 2026.

Born in Essington, PA in 1934, she was the beloved daughter of the late Albert Abbott and Marie Morgan. Helen was a devoted mother who dedicated her life to caring for her family. She also worked for many years as a school cafeteria employee, where she was known for her kindness and warm smile.

Helen is survived by her four children: William Hoffken of Pickens, SC; Deborah Poe of Bridgeville, DE; Paul Hoffken of Newark, DE; and Thomas Hoffken of Newark, DE. She will be remembered for her loving heart, strong spirit and unwavering devotion to those she cherished.

She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
