Obituary

Harry D. Simile, 72, of Newark, Delaware passed away surrounded by loving family on Monday, June 13, 2022.  Born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania on March 31, 1950, he was the son of the late Harry and Rose (Rossetti) Simile.

Harry was a graduate of Serra Catholic High School in McKeesport and Penn State University.  He was employed as an extruder operator with Printpack, Inc., having retired in 2018.  A passionate sports fan, his favorite teams included the Steelers, Penn State, Notre Dame, the Cardinals and the 76ers.  Harry also enjoyed fishing, vacationing and traveling by train.  He was an easy going, laid back person who was loved by everyone who knew him.

Harry will be dearly missed by his wife of 48 years, Deborah (Pickell) Simile; his son, Harry David Simile and wife, Jacqueline; his granddaughters, Isabella, Lilyanna, Gabriella and Alexsandra; and his sister-in-law, Elaine Howard and husband, Fred with whom he was very close.  He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Fred Thomas; his sisters-in-law, Beverly Dillow, and Betty McClinton and husband, Calvin; his Goddaughter, Alicia Howard and his Godson, Trey Thomas.

He was predeceased by his sister, Linda Thomas.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Holy Family Church, 15 Gender Road, Newark on Saturday, June 18 from 9:30-10:45AM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM.  Interment will be held privately.
