Ganae Taylor Avato, age 24, of Bear, DE, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.
Ganae attended and graduated from Solanco High School in 2015. She went on to pursue the Academy of Massage and Bodyworks in Delaware in the hopes of becoming a massage therapist. Ganae was greatly interested in helping others feel better physically, as well as mentally, emotionally and spiritually. She was set to graduate on September 1, 2022.
Ganae was a loving and compassionate person who loved to be silly. She had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul. Ganae inspired everyone, never knew a stranger, welcomed everyone, and was always appreciative. Her laugh was infectious and she loved playing harmless pranks on those she loved.
She loved spending time with her family and friends, whether it was at the beach, going out to dinner, shopping, playing card games, or going for a hike. Ganae was also a spiritual enthusiast and knew the importance of caring for oneself on a spiritual level; she greatly enjoyed and saw the value in journaling, drawing/doodling, and the healing energy of crystals.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, PopPop Joe Avato.
Ganae is survived by the best mom ever, Christine Avato of Bear, DE; the best dad ever, Wayne Hendrickson, and his wife, Dana, of Nottingham, PA, and sister, Cassidy Cameron; Nanny and PopPop, Eileen and Mark Duphily of Newark, DE; MomMom and PopPop, Carol and Charlie Hendrickson of Landenberg, PA; Aunt DarDar and Uncle Mikey Friend of Hampstead, NC; Aunt Shelly and Uncle Chris (Putz) Chmielecki of Nottingham, PA; Aunt Sara and Uncle Craig Croman of Lebanon, PA; Aunt Chanel and Uncle Jared of Middletown, DE; Aunt Rose and Uncle Pete of Sicily, Italy; Aunt Kelly and Uncle Matt Hendrickson of Lincoln University, PA; Aunt Amy and Uncle Jesse Cox of Milton, DE; Ganae’s best friend, Ashley Babcock of Northeast, MD; her cousins, CJ, Callie, Nick, Kiara, Nolan, Carter, Callee, McKenna, Olivia, Mason, Isla, Erik and Nora; her great-grandmothers, Kathleen Hendrickson and Mildred Mills; and her great grandfather, Francis Rothwein.
