Francesco “Frank” Gattuso, age 92, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025. He was born on March 22, 1932 in Paulsboro, NJ to the late Domenico and Olivia (Epifanio) Gattuso.
Frank worked as a pharmacist for many years, starting in 1959 at Sickle’s Pharmacy in Paulsboro, NJ, and retiring from Eckerd Drugs in the late 1990’s. He was a former president of the Board of Pharmacy DE and longtime member of the American Pharmacist Association (APhA). Frank was one of the early members of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Bear, DE. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening,vtraveling, bowling and cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Flyers. After retirement, he also enjoyed cooking and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara S. (Schofield) Gattuso; son Michael Gattuso and his wife Jean of Bear, DE; step-son Thomas Cirrinicione and his wife Katherine of New York, NY; step-daughter Kim Cirrinicione of Prospect, VA; daughter-in-law Linda Gattuso of Dover, DE; brother Domenico Gattuso and his wife Sally of Burleson, TX; and sister Anna Forfa of Brick, NJ. Frank is also survived by his beloved grandchildren Samuel Gattuso, Amelia Gattuso, Matthew Cirrinicione, Maureen Coleman and William Biddle, Jr.; step-grandchildren Jason and Keith Bredemeier; and great grandson Parker Coleman.
In addition to his late parents, Frank was preceded in death by first wife Amelia (Cordivari) Gattuso; son Frank Gattuso; grandson Nicholas Gattuso; step-granddaughter Melanie; brother Bruno and sisters Antoinette, Mary, Catherine, Angela and Ermina.
Family and friends are invited to visit St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 345 Bear Christiana Rd, Bear, DE 19701 on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 11:00AM – 12:00PM, with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 12:00PM. Interment will take place at the Gloucester County Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Williamstown, NJ on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 11:00AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Little Sister of the Poor or the Gary Sinise Foundation.
