Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Edward W. Maier, a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather, at the age of 77. He leaves behind a legacy of unwavering dedication, kindness, and generosity that touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

For over 40 years, Eddie excelled in the field of sales in the plastics industry, where his expertise and dedication earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and competitors alike. Through his professional journey, he demonstrated an unparalleled work ethic, setting an example for those fortunate enough to work alongside him.  His retirement years were spent relaxing and enjoying friends and family at his beach home in South Carolina.  Eddie was a devoted family man, sharing a love story spanning 52 years with his beloved wife, Christine, building a bond that was a testament to his commitment to love and partnership. As a father, he provided unwavering support and guidance to his daughter and cherished his most loved role as a grandfather which brought him immense joy, as his four grandsons were the light of his life.

Ed will be remembered for his kind and generous spirit, as his willingness to lend a helping hand knew no bounds, and his acts of kindness touched countless lives with his warmth and compassion.  He is survived by his loving wife, Christine Maier; his only daughter, Heather Williamson (Jason Boyer); his brothers, Frank (Patricia) and Richard (Debbie) Maier; and his cherished grandchildren, Grant Maier (Stephanie Gonzalez), Chase, Nicholas and Anthony Williamson; and a community of friends in both Delaware and South Carolina who were enriched by his presence.

As we bid farewell to Eddie, we celebrate a life well-lived and know that he will forever remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and colleagues, a shining example of the power of dedication, kindness, and generosity.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Fox Chase Cancer Hospital in memory of Edward Maier. May he rest in eternal peace, his memory a source of comfort and inspiration to us all.
