Doris Ann Price

Doris Ann Price, age 84, of Hockessin, DE passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at home surrounded by her family.

Born in Odessa, DE she was the daughter of Iva (Morrison) and Clarence Boyer. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Grace Ellis.

Doris was a 1950 graduate of Conrad High School and Goldey-Beacom College. She had a long career with Baynard Optical Company. She also enjoyed baking, cooking reading and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, George M Price; her children, Linda Fitzpatrick (John), Steve Price (Deborah), David Price (Stephanie) and Nancy Hanke (John), 9 grandchildren, Shannon Bellak, Carrie Fitzpatrick, Stephanie Carroll, Kristen Price, Jason Price, Jeremy Price, Alexander Price, Emily Hanke and Evan Hanke and 4 great grandchildren.

Family and Friends are invited to visit Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church, 500 McKennan’s Church Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808 on Friday December 16 from 10-11 am where a funeral service will follow at 11. Burial will be held on Monday, December 19 at 11 am in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. Dupont Hwy., New Castle.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church at the above address.
