Donna Mary Dougherty

Donna Mary Dougherty of Chadds Ford, PA passed away on October 8th surrounded by her loving family. The oldest of seven children, Donna was born March 20, 1949 and grew up in Folsom, PA. She graduated from Notre Dame Moylan High School for Girls in 1968. Donna was proud of her education from Widener University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1998 and a Master of Business Administration in 2003. She worked her entire career in Human Resources until she retired.

Donna was an avid gardener, and specialized in growing tomatoes. She loved reading, gift-giving, and the Philadelphia Eagles. She loved her family and delighted in spending time with her many nieces and nephews. Donna joins her late husband, Bob Banister; and her loving parents, Joe and Shirley Dougherty in heaven.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s on the Brandywine Church, 10 Old Church Rd, Wilmington, DE 19807 on Thursday October 23 at 10:00 AM. A reception will follow in the Family Center next to the church.
